The factory may sit in Guangdong, Zhejiang or further. A booth in Guangzhou is not a line. Factories in China.
Spec that must sit in the PO
- Composition and GSM, not only “cotton”
- Pantone or a lab colour sample, not “as in the photo”
- Fabric width, shrinkage, pilling
- Label, hangtag, packing per piece
- AQL for seams, stains, measures
Without a lab dip, a colour claim in Belgrade is a lost season.
MOQ and sample
Textile lines like volume. A trial series is negotiated if you have a reorder plan. An SMS sample and a production sample are not the same. Approve the production sample before cut.
Dye MOQ is often larger than the first collection. If so, either cut the number of colours, or pay a higher metre price. Say that before the sample, not when the season has started. Lab dip and fit sample take 2–5 weeks. Shortlist research 1–3 weeks. Sea about 35–52 days. The sum must fit the season calendar.
QC and freight
We look at measures, seams, print, moisture in the carton. Textiles eat CBM differently from electronics, but LCL or FCL still decides landed cost.
The FTA can lower duty with COO and exact HS. Apparel often has more sensitive rates. Do not count zero until the forwarder confirms the code. FTA.

Keep a fabric standard with you and at the plant. A screen lies about shade. A second dye lot is not the same roll, even when the colour code looks the same. Open bales from mid-lot before seal. Contact with composition, GSM and season date.
