A China business trip we organise as itinerary prep, accompaniment on the ground and a report after travel. Price is a daily fee, in two levels by day complexity. It does not matter whether it is a fair, a factory, an office or a mix. Send a brief and dates, and we prepare an itinerary.
Firms that want to see a fair, a factory or both in person, but do not want to lose days on improvisation, taxis and talk without context.
A China business trip is a daily fee. It has two levels, depending on day complexity. Itinerary prep sits in that fee. The visit place itself does not change the price.
Papillon team travel costs go separately and are approved before booking.
China is available, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Yiwu, Shanghai and other business centres, plus Hong Kong.
Prep 5–10 days before departure. The trip itself follows the agreed plan.
The client’s air ticket, hotel and local transport. Sample, deposit or order cost made during the trip. Visas and travel insurance. A sourcing commission, if an order activates after the trip, is calculated separately.
Goods, samples, courier, QC, lab, freight, duty and taxes are shown separately from the Papillon fee.
Fees are on request. The quote depends on product family, number of SKUs, factories, customisation, timeline and operating scope.
The quote states day count and daily-fee level, plus travel costs.
A China business trip makes sense when you know in advance which question the day must close. A fair without a booth list gives a bag of cards. A factory without a question list gives a hall photo. Before departure sit a brief, a shortlist and what you will approve on site, and what stays for a written sample after return.
Prep takes 5–10 days. The day itself follows the plan. Two daily-fee levels follow day complexity, not the city name. Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Yiwu, Shanghai and Hong Kong sit in the same frame. Ticket, hotel and the client’s local transport are not in the fee. Team travel cost is approved before booking.
On site you do not pay a lot deposit only because a booth is convincing. MOQ, who invoices and whether the plant is in that city are checked before a transfer. A sample still needs 2–5 weeks. Sea still takes about 35–52 days. A trip does not shorten a kiln.
The post-trip report says who we keep, what the risk is and whether a next step even exists. If it does not, the trip is finished. A sourcing commission, if an order starts after that, is calculated separately. QC above 2,000 USD applies only when lot execution starts, not at a fair.
Return from a trip is not a purchase order. The report leaves candidates, risks and a recommendation. A lot deposit goes only when spec, packing and inspection criterion are written. If you said at a fair that you like it, that is a note, not sample approval.
A visit does not replace LCL or FCL. CBM is measured on a packing sample after the trip. Landed cost is calculated then, with duty in two scenarios. The agreement from 1 July 2024 does not apply because you saw a booth.
If the day was spent on travel between cities without a meeting, that is a bad plan, not a bad factory. That is why cities are not chained without a reason. One fair phase plus one plant visit closes more than three fairs in the same flight. Visa, insurance and ticket stay on you.
A simpler day is one city, booked meetings, interpreting and a note. A heavier day is a fair plus a move to a plant, or several locations where the plan must hold time. The level is chosen before the quote, not on site.
If a meeting is cancelled, the day is re-packed only inside already booked addresses. We do not fill an empty slot with random booths. An empty day is information that the list was not ready.
After the trip the decision can also be not to order. That does not cancel the fee for days that were held. The fee covers work, not a promise that every booth will become a supplier.
Yes, for China and Hong Kong. Send a brief and dates, and we return a proposed itinerary and an individual quote.

Yes. The itinerary can be fair only, factories only or a mix. The greatest value is often a fair plus later factory visits, but that is not required.
We prepare itinerary, accompaniment, interpreting, talks, visits and a report. You make decisions, set the travel budget and choose the supplier.
Send the request: category, quantity, and date. You get a reply within 24 hours, with an outline of the total cost to destination where we can price it.
