Hong Kong Electronics Fair is the HKTDC week at HKCEC for components, finished devices and OEM or ODM desks. Autumn 2026 is 13–16 October. Spring was 13–16 April. Papillon is registered in Hong Kong. We walk the fair, then the lines and QC in Shenzhen, then the import.
13–16 Apr
Components, devices and OEM desks. Not the Global Sources halls.
13–16 Oct
Opens just before autumn Canton. Keep the following days for Shenzhen.
Next day
The fair is the meeting. The line, the test gear and the certificates are on the mainland.
Meetings at HKCEC, then a line in Shenzhen, then a sample decision. Not a loop of every October fair.
Function, certificates, target quantity and what must not change. A category name is not a spec.
Stands that can name a plant in the Greater Bay. If they cannot, they do not get a second slot.
The next day is the line: process, test, and whether the certificate matches this model.
Sample approval, QC plan and landed cost. The hall does not close the PO.
HKCEC puts component makers and OEM teams in one building, with a border crossing to the factories the next morning. That is the point. Hong Kong is the meeting. Shenzhen is the proof.
Papillon works from Hong Kong, so the fair is not a fly-in for us. The useful part for you is the list we walk and the plants we already know how to reach the same week.
Different organiser. Often a different venue. Global Sources uses AsiaWorld-Expo and splits into phases. This fair is the HKTDC week at HKCEC. October can hold both. You still pick one as the meeting fair.
Walking both because the calendar says October is how a spec gets diluted. One hall, eight meetings, then the plant. The other fair can wait for another trip.
The comparison lives on the Global Sources page. Dates for the stack are on China trade fairs 2026.
A booth can show a golden sample and a certificate for a different model. The line shows the process you will actually pay for. We book Bao'an, Dongguan or the plant they named, not a scenic detour.
If the line cannot build the spec, the name leaves the list the same day. Electronics from China fails more often on an unvisited factory than on a missed aisle.
The function, the market you sell into, the marks you need, the quantity for the trial and the quantity if it scales. NDA when the design is yours. A target landed cost, not only a unit price.
Without that, the stand will quote a catalogue SKU and call it OEM. With it, the meeting has a yes or a no.
Sample, about 2–5 weeks if it is not already approved. Production, then QC before the box is sealed. Sea freight about 35–52 days. Duty and origin papers inside the landed cost.
The fair week is the start of that chain. It is not the chain. Electronics from China is the import side once a supplier stays on the list.
Spring was 13–16 April. Autumn is 13–16 October, at HKCEC. Confirm before you fly, and keep days after for Shenzhen.
No. Different organiser and usually a different venue. Choose one as the meeting fair. October overlap is not a reason to walk both.
Yes, if you intend to order. The hall is the meeting. The line is on the mainland. A card is not a factory.
A spec, the certificates you need, a trial quantity and a scale quantity. A product category alone wastes the slot.
Send the request: category, quantity, and date. You get a reply within 24 hours, with an outline of the total cost to destination where we can price it.
